What EverQuest Did Right That Other MMOs Ignored

The world of MMOs has flourished since the days when we played EverQuest, in large part to the behemoth that is World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft became so huge since its launch, that even today MMOs use some of its elements in their game. But what happened to EverQuest? It seems like games have left EQ in the past instead of learning from what used to be the MMORPG.

Now that our time in Norrath (EverQuest) has ended, we find ourselves uneasy with the world around us. Come with us as we try to uncover the one lingering thought that has been all on our minds. Laugh, cry, sing, and rejoice, as we put our thinking caps on to uncover What EverQuest Did Right That Other MMO's Ignored.
Highlights:

EverQuest, what have we here?

We talk about what EverQuest did Right

We also talk about what EverQuest did Wrong

What did we find? Listen to find out!

Games we talk about:

EverQuest

EverQuest 2

World of Warcraft

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Halloween is on the way and so is our holiday spirit. We have years of history of playing through Holiday Events together. Now that we don't all play the same game, we talk about how important we think these events play a part in our MMO lives. With our special guest BigEvil, we discuss how we each feel about a number of topics, including what we all think about PvP, and how we all view the many tradeskills that have enveloped our MMO games. Come with us on our journey as we laugh, cry, and fight our way through our MMORPG lives.
Highlights:

What do you think about Holiday Events guys?

PvP? You know you wanna

Tradeskilling our way to the problem

Gath finally doesn't have a sports event during the podcast

How many times do we really say PvE and PvP?

Games we talk about:

EverQuest

World of Warcraft

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

Episode 2 - Combat Conflict jumps right back into the fight, literally. We talk about everything combat and how each of the games we play handles them. The brothers, Faeran and Drybones, learn a bit more about their play styles, while Gathilas, their cousin, escapes to a baseball game and completely misses the podcast recording. Luckily our friend Karen from Journeys With Jaye was able to stop by and help us continue our fight, while bringing her unique perspective to the table. The debate continues, as we head down a path I like to call, The Fight for our MMORPG Lives.
Highlights:

Group vs. Solo - How it is balanced in the games we play.

How much do people actually need you?

How does your game allow you to interact with mobs?

Drybones likes a good Tank and Spank (20:30).

Games we talk about:

EverQuest

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

World of Warcraft

EverQuest 2
